We’re thrilled to partner with The Young Heroes to bring this incredible 2-night, 3-day program to veteran and defence families in our region.

The Young Heroes delivers this specialized program for families (parents and children) aged between 9 and 15, with flexibility for younger or older participants on a case-by-case basis. The outdoor, nature-based experience focuses on enhancing individual and collective resilience and facilitating stress recovery following the impacts of high-stress, high-impact occupations.

The program addresses the effects these occupations can have on families, working to prevent generational trauma and helping families overcome challenges together.

What to expect:

Led by The Young Heroes’ experienced facilitators, support staff, and health professionals, families will participate in trekking through stunning landscapes, fun bush skills workshops, and quality time around the campfire. The program deliberately minimises technology interruptions, allowing families to truly reconnect in nature.

All accommodation and meal expenses are covered by The Young Heroes. Families only need to arrange transportation to and from Stanley.
