Explore Burnie on two wheels

free eBike lending for veterans and families.

How It Works

  • Pick Up – Available weekdays from 11:00am.
  • Ride – Borrow for a few hours, overnight (return by 9:30am), or across the weekend.
  • Return – Bring the bike back on time, ready for the next rider.

Our eBikes

We have 6 Giant Expression E+ 25km/h eBikes, designed for both bitumen and gravel with pedal-assist motors.

How many bikes are available?

We have 6 Giant Expression E+ eBikes:

  • 2 Large (Expresso & Blackcurrant)
  • 2 Medium (Expresso & Blackcurrant)
  • 2 Small (Expresso & Blackcurrant)

 

Helmets in a variety of sizes are available, or you can bring your own.

The riding range depends on terrain, rider weight, and conditions:

  • Extreme: 55 km (heavy load, steep climbs, or strong winds)
  • Good: 100 km (normal mixed conditions)
  • Ideal: 170 km (flat terrain, light load, mild weather)
  • Pick up: from 11:00am weekdays
  • Return same day: by 4:00pm
  • Overnight option: pick up at 11:00am, return by 9:30am next morning
  • Weekend borrowing: pick up Friday 11:00am, return Monday 9:30am

  • Helmets must be worn at all times

  • ID is required when borrowing

  • Riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult

  • Bikes must be returned on time
